How much does window tinting cost in Ontario?

Short answer

WrapZap charges $59.99 for the front two windows and $99.99 for all-around coverage on every window except the windshield. Across the GTA at large, shops quote $150 to $250 for front windows and $400 to $800 for a full car, ceramic film sitting at the top of that range.

Window tinting pricing in Ontario

What you'll actually pay

Our pricing next to the GTA norm. Both sets of figures are before HST.

PackageWrapZapGTA typical
Front two windows$59.99$150 – $250
All around (no windshield)$99.99$400 – $800
Headlight / taillight tint$59.99$150 – $200

Add 13% HST to every quote. A $400 job leaves at $452 out the door — worth remembering when one shop quotes pre-tax and another quotes all-in.

What changes the price

Film type. Dyed costs least and fades. Carbon sits between. Ceramic throws off far more heat at the same shade and leaves GPS, phone signal and tire-pressure sensors alone — the one worth paying for through an Ontario summer.

Vehicle size. More glass means more film and more labour. SUVs and trucks cost more than sedans at every shop.

Old film removal. Stripping existing tint costs extra at nearly every shop. Ask before booking.

Coverage. Every shop defines "full tint" differently. Confirm it includes the rear windshield, quarter glass and sunroof.

Questions worth asking any shop

  • Exactly which windows are included?
  • Is stripping old tint included or extra?
  • Before or after HST — which is that price?
  • Which film ships at that price, and what warranty rides with it?
  • Is that front shade legal on my specific glass in Ontario?

A shop that goes vague on any of these is telling you plenty.

Why ours is lower

We run a high-volume studio and publish our prices openly instead of quoting per customer. The $59.99 and $99.99 starting prices use our standard film. Premium films with warranty coverage are available as upgrades, quoted in store with your car in front of us. Ask any shop what film and warranty their quote actually bundles. Warranty options vary by film and package — we'll spell out exactly what's covered.

Questions

Frequently asked

How much is window tinting for a car in Ontario?

At WrapZap, front two windows start at $59.99 and all-around is $99.99. The wider GTA market runs $150 to $250 for fronts and $400 to $800 for a full car. Add 13% HST to any quote.

Is ceramic tint worth the extra cost?

For an Ontario summer, yes. Ceramic throws off substantially more heat at the same visible shade and leaves GPS, phone signal and tire-pressure sensors untouched. Dyed costs less but fades and rejects far less heat.

Does window tint cost more for an SUV?

Yes — at every shop, since more glass means more film and labour. Our all-around starts at $99.99, and we confirm your exact figure before work begins.

How much does it cost to remove old window tint?

It tracks the film's age and how hard it has bonded. Ask whether removal is bundled into the quote — it's a frequent source of bill shock.

Do you charge HST on top?

Yes — 13% HST applies. Our published prices are pre-tax like most shops, but always confirm, since some quote all-in and comparisons get murky.
